Claire Villars Lurton took over the management of Châteaux Ferrière, Haut-Bages Libéral, and La Gurgue at the age of 25. She has spent several years completely rebuilding all of the wineries. La Gurgue is situated on a beautiful plateau in Curton with deep gravel soil on the north-eastern flank of Margaux (and close to Chateau Margaux itself).
