Pierre and Jean-Baptise Lebreuil are based in the Savigny village. Despite its small size, the estate produces wines in 20 appellations, with small plots of vines in Aloxe, Ladoix, Pernand, Volnay, Corton, and Pommard.
Savigny is one of those 'little gem' villages that were previously unknown and undervalued but have since been rediscovered. The best wines can easily compete with those from the Beaune appellation, and are frequently priced accordingly.
The style has always been medium-bodied and gentle, but there are plenty of examples (such as this one) that have the energy and intensity to age well.
