Intense ruby coloured. Complex aromas of black fruits, spice and tobacco. Smooth tannins. Aging potential up to 25 years.
The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, one third of which are new each vintage.
The chateau is named after Jean-Antoine Baptiste Dupré, a Bordeaux solicitor who acquired the estate in 1843.
Château Fourcas Dupré is located in the commune of Listrac. Owned by brothers Patrice and Ghislain Pagès the chateau has 44 hectares of vineyards with gravel / sandstone soils. They produce classic claret: mineral, complex and expressive.
