The grapes for this wine are grown at an altitude of 850m in limestone soils with ample water which ensures the preservation of fresh fruit flavours and good acidity. These characteristics are enhanced by harvesting the grapes at night and fermenting in stainless steel containers. The wine is matured for 3 months in French Oak before bottling.
Bodegas Venta La Vega have 225 hectares of vineyards in the foothills of the El Mugrón mountains in Almansa. The vineyards, managed using ecological techniques that exclude the use of chemical treatments and additives, include the largest planting of the local Garnacha Tintorea grape in Europe.
