One of the best Chardonnays in Santa Ynez, USA, is produced by a Lompoc-based winery owned by Jeff Nelson and James Sparks using only the most exquisite fruit from the area.

To prevent having too much oak flavour and to allow for oxygen contact, the majority of the barrels are 3 to 4 years old. Jeff is able to keep and push a freshness through the wines, avoiding the old fashioned richness of typical examples from the past, because he makes sure the fruit he uses is collected early.
