100% Riesling

Only 1.9 hectares of our steep slopes are used to cultivate Riesling, and we only generate about 20,000 bottles of wine year. The location in the Ürziger Würzgarten as well as the soil's weathering to slate both contribute to the distinctive taste. The great-grandfather acquired the old slate house in 1867. On the posts, there are some older, ungrafted vines. The majority of the wine is matured in hardwood barrels. The noble sweet Auslese is the house specialty.
