Roda's first investigated Ribera del Duero in 1999, looking for the best sites, before finally planting their flag in 2008. Working with renown viticulturalists, the Balbas brothers, the vineyards are certified organic. The vineyards re a mixture of sand, limestone and clay at about 800m above sea level.
