58% Chenin Blanc, 21% Viognier, 12% Grenache Blanc & 9% Roussanne
This is our desert island wine! Baked quince, pineapple, a hint of marmalade bitterness all laced with oak and vanilla but held together with balanced acidity.
The Chenin Blanc is whole bunch pressed and barrel fermented to add richness and structure. The Viognier, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne are de-stemmed and cold fermented before being sent to barrel to complete fermentation. Once each varietal has matured for 10 months it is racked back to tank where it is blended ready for bottling.
Named after a rare flower which can only be found on the Paardeberg mountain. We think this wine is a special as the flower it is named after.
Bright beautiful and balanced with fresh juicy fruit character. A real winner!
