La Cuadrilla - ‘The Crew’ started in 1994 when Ruben Solorzano took over vineyard management. His goal was to engage the workers more and make them passionate about their work. Ruben started by giving each member of the team one Cuadra - a small vineyard block. Once they had mastered its management Ruben revealed the plan to Mr Stolpman. Thrilled Tom Stolpman decided that the wine produced would go back to the workers for personal consumption. Nowadays the more wine is blended in and the profits are shared between the crew members.
Fermented using native yeasts in concrete then aged in neutral oak barrels. The 2015 is one of the crews most serious wines. A low yielding vintage gave concentration and depth to the cuvee.
