A blend of traditional Romanian and international grape varieties. This is an orange wine - a white wine where the pressed juice is left in contact with the skins and pulp, as in red wine production. This results in a wine with more tannins and a deeper colour than a traditional white wine. The individual grape varieties are fermented using natural yeasts and without the addition of sulphites. After blending, the wine undergoes a period of cold stabilisation before bottling without fining or filtration.
Produced on the Cremale Recas estate by an English winemaker, Philip Cox and his Romanian wife Elvira. They updated a traditional Romanian winery with state of the art equipment and have invited winemakers from around the world to work with them as they have developed their range of wines.
