Chardonnay 60%; Pinot Noir 40%
Produced by Champagne House Louis Roederer’s winery in Mendocino County California.
Grapes are harvested from the estate's four vineyards, (the origin of the name Quartet,) in Anderson Valley. This cool, fog shrouded region with well drained soils has similarities to the Champagne vineyards, and enables the production of a wine of typical Roederer style with excellence, precision and freshness.
Only the first pressing, cuvée, juice is used for cool fermentation in steel tanks. Minimal malolactic fermentation is allowed, and the wine is aged for 2 years on the lees. Oak aged reserve wines are added to the blend to reproduce a consistent style with each bottling.
