DRINK WINE FOR CHARITY...
I am raising funds for the Ambulance Service. My name is Guy and I was very unwell last year. I put my recovery down to, in large part, the Ambulance Service who got me to the help I needed. I contracted a brain virus that some people never recover from or even survive.
My very dear friend James has offered to create 3 sumptuous offerings for you to purchase. James will be donating 100% of the profits to the Ambulance Service so you are able to buy the wine from a small business and you are giving to charity. Though the best part is, you’ll be drinking wine!
Don’t worry if you’ve bought all your presents already (unlikely) you can buy this for your own personal consumption…

My sincere thanks for your support and of course, Merry Christmas
(The Longer Version).
A year ago I woke up from a coma having contracted meningoencephalitis. I collapsed in the house, alone, only to be discovered by my pregnant wife later in the morning. She called for an ambulance then rushed round to our neighbours for help who happened to have worked many years in Intensive Care. She urged my wife to ring 999 again to describe my worsening condition.
She called a further 4 times and we had a First Responder arrive who called for the ambulance. The ambulance crew arrived and informed my wife that had they known the severity of my condition they would have had me airlifted to Kings. We waited for a Doctor to arrive to sedate me as I was convulsing and resisting help so the team were unable to physically get me into the ambulance.
At this point they had to decide where to take me dependant on my condition. Their decision to take me to the closest ICU turned out to be very fortunate as they specialised in infections.
I spent a week in Intensive Care and 5 days in an induced coma- my recovery is nothing short of remarkable and I put that down to the incredible team at Tunbridge Wells ICU but had I not got there in the first place, my story would have been very different.
I am raising money for the Ambulance service so that many more like me can actually reach the care we need. You will have read countless reports in the past year where the volume of call-outs has exceeded the capacity of the Ambulance service and through no fault of the brilliant workers they are unable to reach patients for some time, and awfully the time does run out.
My story has a good ending. I’m still here and my wife gave birth to our second child just a couple of months after I woke up. There are countless others whose story had no ending.
Buying a case of wine today means that 100% of the profit from the purchase will go to the incredible efforts of our Ambulance Service. Should you think this is a lovely gift for Christmas (even for your own consumption) then those lovely grapes will taste all the sweeter (or drier- you know what I mean!).
