Grapes are grown on low yielding vines growing in granite soils, 500m above sea level on the right bank of the Dão. Fermentation with natural yeasts took place in stainless steel tanks then the wine was matured for 10 months in old oak barrels.
Nuno Mira do Ó started making wines in 2001. His philosophy is to use traditional grape varieties with minimal intervention and respect for the natural world. His first personal wine project began in Bairrada in 2009 and he began making his own Dão wines in 2012.
