Grenache; Mourvèdre; Syrah
The Grenache is grown on clay - limestone soils in the Prébois vineyard near Orange. The Syrah and Mourvèdre are grown on quartz and marl limestone terraces in Vinsobres.
2017 was the driest for 30 years, so fruit production was significantly reduced, but of very high quality.
Grapes are sorted and destemmed before fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, with pumping over. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation before aging for 1 year in stainless steel vats or oak barrels.
Five generations of the Perrin family have been involved in this Southern Rhône wine making institution. They are now the largest organic wine producer in the region.
