2016 was a very special year in the Southern Rhône with ideal weather throughout the growing season allowing the production of some magnificent wines.
The vines that are the source of this wine are located on sparse clay and gravel terraces in an historic vineyard southwest of the hilltop village of Cairanne.
The wine is fermented in stainless steel or wooden tanks. The syrah is aged in oak barriques before blending and bottling.
Five generations of the Perrin family have been involved in this Southern Rhône wine making institution. They are now the largest organic wine producer in the region. They operate with absolute respect for the vineyard environment, utilising manual methodology and with a deep rooted belief that only organic viticulture can demonstrate the true character of the terroir.
