Frankland Estate is in one of the most remote wine growing regions in the world. 250km east of Margaret River, in Western Australia, sheep farmers Barrie Smith and Judi Cullam diversified into winemaking in 1988. This was not undertaken on a whim: before starting their winemaking operation, they travelled extensively in France, including working two vintages at the renowned Chateau Senejac in Haut Medoc. Their viticulture processes are certified organic and they are commited to sustainable practices and respecting the environment.
