This is one of the first sparkling wines in England made using a similar to style to that in Prosecco. Known as the Charmat method, the wine goes through secondary fermentation in a special pressurised tank.
A portion of the wine is barrel-aged for four months, this time on its lees adds texture and depth.
Flint Vineyard was founded in 2015 by husband and wife team Ben and Hannah Witchell, together with local farmer Adrian Hipwell. The site was selected as one of the driest and sunniest regions in England. Located in South Norfolk, Waveney Valley, overlooking the villages of Earsham and Bungay, the south-east facing vines are planted on free-draining gravel and flint soil.
