Kotsifali 100%
Produced with grapes growing in loamy soils, 500m above sea level, around Alagni in central Crete. The grapes are fermented on the skins for 7 days, with regular punching down to aid extraction.
Lyrarakis was established in 1966 and is still run by the family. They specialise in producing wines with local grape varieties often bottling as single variety / single vineyard products. They have been responsible for re-establishing 3 ancient Cretean varieties: Dafni, Plyto and Melissaki. Their focus is on minimal intervention, allowing the grapes and soils to express their unique characteristics.
The Lyrarakis winery is located in Alagni, south of Heraklion.
