Assyrtiko has become rather expensive and quite often doesnt live up to its price tag. This wine however is great value for money. It has characterisitics of a good Chenin Blanc but also the lovely nature of a Gavi.

Crisp green apple, lemon and lime. There is a little hint of ginger on the palate that adds to the fresh acidity. It has good length and is certainly a wine that can sit well at the dinner table but isn't too complex to drink on its own. Freshness is the key in this wine, its lively, lime-like acidity makes you want to go back for more. Bring me a bit of Feta and we have a date!
