Chanin specialise in single vineyard wines, but in years when there is an abundance of quality fruit they produce their Santa Barbara County product using grapes sourced from a variety of locations.
Fermented in open top tanks with regular punching down, the wine is aged on its lees in oak for 14 months. It is bottled without filtration.
Chanin Wine Co specialise in the Burgundian varieties, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Their vineyards are in Santa Barbera County in the southern part of the Central Coast region of California. The cool, coastal winds and diverse soils are the perfect environment for these varieties. Winemaker Gavin Chanin produces wines that truly reflect the subtle differences in geography, geology and climate. All vineyards are organic and sustainably farmed.
