50% Pinot Gris, 40% Pinot Blanc and 10% Aligoté
Pinot Gris is one of the - thought to be mutant clones of Pinot Noir and originates from Burgundy. It may be the same grape variety as Pinot Grigio but this is the polar opposite to the light and flabby Italian style.
This Pinot Gris, which is grown next to the winery is oily, intense and rich. When paired with two other lesser known Burgundian varietals; Pinot Blanc and Aligoté, giving minerality and acidity respectively the resutling wine is a triumph and something really exciting for open minded Burgundian drinkers.
